National and local responses to the pandemic continue to impact upon safeguarding practice in schools. School closures and COVID restrictions have resulted in less opportunity for face-to-face meetings to check-in with vulnerable children or spot children who are at risk of harm.

Join our Safeguarding in Schools Digital Conference to hear the latest policy and practice on how to deliver remote learning safely, safeguard vulnerable children off-site and communicate effectively with pupils and parents.

You will hear from leading experts in the sector and best practice case studies from schools on all of the current key issues faced by school safeguarding leads including: how to recruit safely, an update on the current online risks as children spend more time online, and how to respond to reports of abuse.

The impact of lockdown and school closures has been different for every child. Some may have experienced bereavement, neglect or abuse and others may have felt relief from anxiety and social pressures of attending school. We will also look at how to support the mental wellbeing of both pupils and staff during this challenging time with expert input from the national charity, Education Support.
